Kevin Roth - Lead Meteorologist from The Weather Channel says
( " The biggest threat from the system will be heavy rain. The system should take a path just to the north of Hurricane Alex from last week. Rainfall of 3 to 6 inches with isolated amounts near 8 inches falling on ground that is already saturated will lead to an increased flooding threat throughout northern Mexico and southern Texas." )
Its going to be a repeat of last Friday. Flooding is going to be a major issues since the ground is already saturated by Hurricane Alex last Friday!
Here are a Few maps to give u an idea of how big this TD is & the power it was.

Storm trouble
There seems to be once more trouble in the Gulf again !!! There is a system that is forming the same way that hurricane Alex took from the Caribbean !!!! I will keep ya posted!!!!
UPDATE
7/5/10 - Now they are saying that the system in the west Caribbean has a 30% possibility of becoming a depression or a tropical storm & it will be in the Gulf by tomorrow plus they will send out a plane into it to see if there is any rotation at all.
Here is a map that shows the exect location of the low PRESSURE. The system is the orange circle.

Treacherous Flooding
I woke up at 6:30 expecting to hear down pour of rain but i didn't hear it. So the 1st thing i did was turning on the TV channel 11. I sat there while i started my laptop & checking my e-mail & facebook at the same time listening to the news to see if there are any flooded roads. To my surprise there wasn't even one street that was flooded!! (But later in the day i will find out that there was city-wide flooding!OMG) So it started to pour so i ran to my room & got dressed & got everything ready & right when i was going to the car & i unlocked the car i heard a thunder then the next moment i know its pouring down & im getting wet & i got in & the wind was blowing in to the car so i was getting even more wet OMG!!! It was hard to see cause the rain was pouring down so hard that it was like white sheets of rain!!! Im thinking ok i can deal with this but i had to get on the overpass & it was pouring down like that!!!! I didn't think i could drive in that kind of weather but i remembered that i drove in worse weather conditions!!! SO i got to work & through the day the sky was getting dark & darker then it poured down for hours off & on!!! Then at lunch i heard something that we were going to get off early! So i walked to my co-worker's desk & asked her & she told me that we were getting off at 3pm cause of the severe weather. Then i returned to my desk & continued what i was doing before lunch. Then all sudden i heard my cell phone ringing! i usually don't answer it cause of the cams in the office BUT since of the severe weather i answered it. It was my mom. She told me that our street was flooded & the neighborhood as well! & me to see if i could get off work a little bit earlier then when they originally going to let us off! SO i talked to my boss & she understood & allowed me to get a early start! so i rushed to my desk & of course i had papers everywhere & i still had to shut down my computer . SO i did it very fast. I started to drive home it as all fine & there were periods of time when driving home that had fast down pours real heavy ones.! I was able to get to 59 & on 59 with no problems & got off fine. Then when i got into my city i put on my emgeremy lights & i was looking at the drains & they were all gonna over flow!!!! I turned down the street that i always do when i come home everyday. I saw that down the road a truck with orange light & the part of the road i as driving down was flooded so they redirected us on the other side of the road. Then i was trying to see if the other cars where going down the road instead of turning around but to my luck i was totally wrong so i turned around & try another way to get into my area . I got in & i was almost & i was coming to this intersection & noticed that it was flooded i started getting nervous cause i got in deep water in the past & the engine light came on. Anyways so when it was my turn i drove in the middle of the intersection then i was home free but when i can to my street i was prayin that the street wasn't flooded & to my surprise it wasn't!!! It was real crazy day!

Hurricane Alex
Tropical Storm Alex became a hurricane as of 10pm CDT Tuesday nite.
Hurricane Alex will hit 100miles south of Brownsville TX.
Alex is either going to hit inland tonite or tomorrow. But the thing that I have just learned is this: In these bands isolated tornadoes will be possible anywhere within 50 – 100 miles of the southeast Texas Coast!
My location is Midtown - Houston TX and I will be updating this post through the day on the hurricane as well as the current weather conditions in my location. The location.
The hurricane is going to make landfall @ 7pm tonite!!!!
There are already reports to tornadoes & flooded roads!! In Galveston & Mexico !!! The hurricane is a CAT 2!!!!
Weather
12:47pm
Light rain w/ light winds. - nothing to much to be a big threat to get concerned about.
3:30pm
light gray skies w/ light wind. Around the early hour of 3 we did have a moderate rain shower w/ no thunder.
4:30pm
very light gray skies & windy.
Here i have found a more recent map of Hurricane Alex.
The map above is continuously updated on the current weather as u can see.
Here is a map below that was hurricane ALEX at CAT2 -

Tropical Storm ~ Hurrcaine Alex
About 2 weeks ago the meteorologists were not real concerned about this low pressure system but they kept their eyes on it. & what do u know. It comes in to the Caribbean & into the gulf & now they are saying that it will become or could become a hurricane before it makes landfall & that’s all we need with that oil spoil but luckily its steering far away from it. So I don’t think it will spread any farther than it is already doing.
I heard when i was driving into work that the (now) tropical storm will become a hurricane but not a CAT 1 BUT a CAT2!!!

Where is a really cool website that i myself just found! its totally cool! : Storm Pulse

Severe Thunder Storm
On Monday nite I drove to my Kuk Sool Won school for class that nite & as I drove to my class I noticed grayish clouds moving in & didn’t think twice about it. I was getting ready for class & my sensei had me meet someone new but later did I know she was a returning student! We talked up a storm. Before the class started I noticed the once gray clouds now a dark navy blueish grayish clouds as it was coming in. So we were warming up & a lighting blot shot through the sky. We were doing a light jog & I couldn’t keep my eyes off the storm clouds & I almost ran in the to poll! Now we have mirrors on one wall which shows the parking lot. & through the class I saw every so often lighting shooting through the clouds. By the end of class there were more lighting strikes then when we were warming up!! It was very pretty to watch. So I decided that when I got home I would try to capture the lighting in a photo. The end results weren’t what I though they would be. Its more difficult then fireworks!

Storm Chaser Day Dreamin
I wonder if there are for fact storm chasers or tornado chasers out there that do actually what the one in twister.
I guess i like it when its really storming outside specifically severe storms like thunder and tornadoes when everyone is in hidding & ur out in the storm and facing the storm face to face!! I love the fear of not knowing what the storm is going to do plus the audio adrenaline the experience gives you while u are out in it!! Yeah!!! I guess i can only live it up in my imagination but in real life i really do fear those storms.

New Hobbies !!
Im soo excited cause im going to become a SKYWARN Spotter. What that is – is a storm spotter.
U just have to take a class and then u are certified . The when u do spot severe weather u can report it then what the skw does is it reports it to the national weather service!
Well I know for sure that im going to be a spotter & can’t wait until I take my class & all.
I hope I don’t have to report any tornadoes right in front of my house lol!!!
I have also been thinking of becoming a HAM but I haven’t made my decision on it yet.
It would be pretty cool to get on the radio a two-way radio & be talking something like this:
This is Lu over this blah over Is there any tornadoes over there over. No lu there isn’t. over. Code Red blah get out of there. Roger that Lu im out of there. Over that’s good. Over & out.
Something like that! I just how the chasers talked back & forward on the 2-way radio like on the movie twister!
Well that’s it for now. Over & out.
